Kenneth Dennings Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Douglas Dennings

Lansing - Age 59, passed away on January 22, 2021. Ken was born on September 5, 1961 and lived his whole life in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Harry Hill High School in 1980 and studied at Lansing Community College. Ken was a hard worker, he started working at the age of 15. His most recent job was a material handler at Dakota. Ken was a wonderful man with a heart of gold and would generously give to anyone who he thought was in need. He had a great sense of humor no matter the situation, good or bad. He was a huge MSU Spartan fan and would not miss a game. Ken loved to cook on the grill for his family, we will greatly miss the great food and laughs he provided. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time at his cottage at Higgins Lake, where he had planned to live after retirement. Ken is survived by his wife Christine of Lansing Michigan; four daughters, Kara Johnson (Kevin) of Grand Rapids MI; Francie Wing of Lansing MI; Rachel Wing of Lansing, MI; Katrina Dennings of Lansing MI; and one son Craig Wing of Lansing, MI; parents, Kenneth Dennings (Teresa) of Higgins Lake, MI; Karen Moore of Lansing, MI; sisters, Karrie Waskerwitz (Kent) of Traverse City, MI; Kathy Culhane of Lansing, MI; Tammie Dennings of San Marcos, TX; Twin Brother Kent (Sarah) Dennings of Lansing, MI; nieces, Jessica Walter, Jamie Kidd, Alana Culhane, Kortney and Kayla Dennings. Nephews; David and Jeff Lippert; and four grandchildren; Luciana, Carmela, Carmine, and Jaxson. My condolences to the Dennings family. I was so sorry to hear of Kenny's passing. I remember the twins and their sister as students at Wainwright Elementary. As a sixth grade teacher, I fondly remember Kenny, as a good student with a personality that matched his red hair. Kent and Kenny could bring a smile to my day and other days.. I would shake just my head. I have many good memories from that year. May you have many wonderful memories of Kenny and keep him in your heart. With Sympathy, Kathryn Urlaub Foley

Ken was a great worker and always positive. I got the pleasure of meeting him and him working for me and I once told him that if I had 5 of him I could run the whole department. There is so much I could say about Ken but I know that I would leave stuff out because he was such a good guy through and through. I remember that all he could think of was retirement so he could spend time with his family. He will be missed by all that knew him. My prayers goes out to the his family for strength through this difficult time.

Ken & Teresa –

We were heartbroken to hear the news of Ken (ny's) passing. We know words do little at a time like this, but we want you to know we are thinking of you and the family at such a difficult time. While it has been years since we have seen you, we are sure you know how much you meant and still mean to our family.
