James Nichols Obituary

Shallowater- James Michael "Mike" Nichols of Shallowater passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age 66. He was born May 28, 1951 in Poteau, Oklahoma to James Andrew and Jewel Rose (Durant) Nichols. Mike obtained his Bachelor of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Vascular Access. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. Among his many projects he loved wood working and chicken farming.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 40 years, Susan; sons, Cameron Nichols and wife Joleen and Joshua Nichols and wife Jennifer; sisters, Barbara Briggs and Debra Cunningham; three grandchildren, Emily, Dylan, and Kurt; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Ellis.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Redbud Baptist Church.
