Barbara Duncan Obituary

DUNCAN, BARBARA MARY; age 87; departed peacefully at her cherished home in Rochester, Michigan; on October 31, 2011. Beloved wife of 63 years to Richard Duncan; loving mother to Gail, Thomas (Lynn), Karen (the late Mark) Nichols, and David; proud grandmother to Kristin (Matt), Whitney, Victoria, Catherine and Olivia; dear sister to Mary Jane Heckman, and the late Marian Devers and Martha Heckman. Among the many joys of her life was her steadfast faith, raising her family, babysitting grandchildren, traveling, golfing, bridge games, avid reading and sunset views from her home. Family will receive friends at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, (3 blocks east of Van Dyke) Utica, Michigan on Friday, November 4, 2011, 2 to 9 p.m. with Rosary Service on Friday (time pending). Mass will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica, Michigan. In State at church at 9:30 am, until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Utica, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Mass card at the church of your choice or donation to your favorite charity would be appreciated. Please share a memory with the family at
