Virginia Bensken Obituary

Virginia Anne Bensken (nee Shearer), age 84, of Washington Township formerly of Rochester Hills and Waterford, passed away January 12, 2013, after a long illness. Born June 9, 1928 in Pontiac, Mich. Virginia was a long time member of Central United Methodist Church of Waterford, a longtime employee of Pontiac Motors. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading. Beloved wife of James E. Bensken for 59 years; dear mother of Debra Livingston and Nancy (Martin) Smith; dear sister of Marilyn (Bruce) Jacobsen; dear grandmother of Amy (Paul) Savell and Holly (Marland) Pittman; dear great-grandmother of Scotland, Julianne, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Private interment Ottawa Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
