Marla, Alyssa, Alan;
So sorry and saddened at Kerry's passing. You all have Clementine's and my deepest condolences and prayers for God's comforting at this toughest of life's experiences. Due to our family emergency in Virginia, we were unable to attend services for Kerry.
Whenever I think about Kerry it always brings a smile to my face and sometime outright laughter at some of our misadventures regarding our fishing (and some hunting) trips back in the days before we started our own families.
Fishing from my leaky raft at Doe Pond in which Kerry had the good sense to stop fishing and head to shore. We just made it before the boat sank or our having to swim to shore. Kerry always had good common sense.
Another time Kerry, my Dad and I got caught in a bad thunder shower( on Squaw Pond) - torrential rain on Squaw Pond. We got soaked to the bone. We started a fire and striped and dried our clothes. A can of beans fell into the fire an exploded. Fortunately we still had hot dogs to eat. Two hours later we were dry and fishing again none the worse except smelling like baked beans.
One good memory Clementine has is when she and I were invited to one of Marla's great spaghetti dinners while Clementine was pregnant with our first child, Elizabeth. Clementine had heart burn all through the pregnancy and was barely able to keep anything down. After dinner she ran to the bathroom nauseous. While hearing the loud results, Kerry became nauseous also and was in the hallway trying to rush her along so that he could follow suit and throw up. The loud noise of me ridding myself of the dinner made Kerry need to throw up.
We drifted away these past few decades because of our busy schedules and obligations associated with raising growing families. We always thought we would get together again in our later decades but didn't figure on Death getting in the way.
We'll always have the good memories and appreciation of the friendship of you and Kerry. We are truly broken hearted at Kerrys passing.
All our love and prayers, Steve and Clementine
