Janet Angers Obituary

Janet S. Angers, 49 NORTH BERWICK -- Janet S. Angers, 49, of North Berwick, died March 30, 2009, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a brief illness. She was born in Sanford on Oct. 22, 1959, the daughter of Arice and Irene (Lortie) Chasse. She attended Sanford schools, was a 1978 graduate of Sanford High School and a graduate of Andover College in Portland. Janet was employed in several banks locally and for the past 15 years has been employed with the Kennebunk Savings Bank in Kennebunk, most recently as accounting manager. Several years ago, she served as secretary for the Springvale Call Fire Department. Family gatherings were important to Janet, and she looked for any excuse to get together with her family. Quilting however, was her passion. She crafted beautiful quilts, travelled all over to quilting functions and spent much time with family and friends quilting. Survivors include her spouse Mark Angers of North Berwick; her mother of Sanford; a brother Richard Chasse of Manchester, N.H., a sister Ann Turner of Waterboro; and 14 nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, where a memorial service will be conducted on Saturday at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford.
