I met Al when I attended OSU in Mansfield in 1972. We became friends and I enjoyed his friendship over the years. I last saw Al in 2010 in Ashland Ohio and knew he was not in good health but we drank beer together and spoke of old times. He aspired to organize his many thoughts on art and life and his art work was as exciting as ever. I am deeply sorry to hear of his passing and will miss his cantankerous personality. Al was helpful and generous in his life to me, giving my wife and I a painting for a wedding present, I will miss him and wish I had known about his passing sooner. Rick Felber
