Dear Karen and family,
We haven't met but we knew Robert well. He did the landscape design on our home in Mill Valley a number of years ago. We were deeply saddened to hear of his passing.
Robert redesigned our entire back yard. Every time we are in the garden, we enjoy the beauty he so abundantly created. I smile when I remember Robert's creativity, his practical nature, his helpfulness, his sense of humor, and, most of all, his decency and kindness to everyone involved in the project.
We saw Robert about 18 months ago. He came out to consult with us on a problem involving an unhappy neighbor and a troublesome fence. His advice was excellent - plant some trees, let go of your angst, and in a few years, you will actually come to like that fence. How wise he was!
Please accept our deepest sympathies on your loss. We have the fondest memories of Robert and join many others in expressing our sadness that he is no longer with us.

I am shocked this morning to learn of Rob's passing in April. He coached my son Eli for many years in soccer and had an enormously positive influence on him. My heart goes out to you Karen and the kids. May you find strength in Rob's memory.

I just found out from Lawrence Solon the sad news of Rob's passing. Robbie was a truly good guy, and he will be missed. Deepest condolences to all his loved ones, especially Karen, Daniel, and Emily.

I am so saddened when I heard of the passing of Rob. I met him in the mid 1990's working in the same office in Larkspur when he shared office space with Steve Murch. Before we had all had kids, I enjoyed playing golf with him many times on Fridays before work. We also went on a few mountain bike rides together. Throughout the years we worked on many projects together collaborating on residential projects.
Rob was always a pleasure to be around. I was constantly impressed with his passion for all aspects of his life. He was one of the most creative and ambitious professionals I've encountered in my career. I always enjoyed catching up with him about you and your family. He will truly be missed.

Dear Karen, Emily, Daniel and family,
Our heart goes out to all of you during this difficult time. We were very touched by Rob's memorial and feel we got to know him better after hearing stories from his loved ones. We were especially moved to read the poem he had written, because the night before the memorial, we were in Marshall, which I know is a favorite area for him, and we saw a beautiful prism in the sky. A beautiful sunset for an amazing man. He will be missed. Love to you all.

I am truly sorry for your loss Brockman Family and Friends.
It's so hard to see such a wonderful person pass on at such an early age! Rob played soccer with us at the Corte Madera Park, with my 3 older brothers, Phil, Erich and Matthew Greer. We had so much fun! I was sometimes the only girl scrimmaging with them. He was always so nice to me.
You will be missed immensely.

To say Rob was one of a kind would be an understatement, he was more unique than that. In our class at Cal Poly he was a friend to all and loved by all. Still after a week, I do not have words yet to express my feeling of loss. All of our prayers are for you and for strength. I think you know how much Rob was admired by everyone who met him. Dear Brockman family. My heart is so saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved. Rob and I knew one another since we were 5 years old. He was so kind and fun and funny! When we were children at school he once gabbed the back of my ear with a sharp pencil. The mark from that pencil has been with me ever since. Rob and I would laugh about it years later and it would always come up in our conversations. I have the one and only tattoo designed and created by Rob Brockman! I also recall Rob being so warm and open hearted. He was so very proud of his daughter and her singing and we talked for a long while about her career. I send to you my deepest love and I am always here for all of you should I ever be of service to you.

Our first concert together in 8th grade at Tower of Power, our first jobs at the carwash and Zims, riding motorcycles and exploring all of Marin, numerous Tahoe trips, our first Bay to Breakers, concerts….

I still can't believe you're gone buddy. Seems like yesterday when we were graduating together, partying, in each other's weddings, experiencing fatherhood at the same time.......the memories are vast and happy.
