Beverly Beatty Obituary

Beverly W. Beatty
Jul. 1, 1934 - Jan. 16, 2016
Sunnyvale
Beverly Walker Beatty, 81, of Sunnyvale, CA, formerly of Ford City, PA, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at her daughter's residence in Belton, TX.
Beverly Mae Walker was born Jul. 1, 1934, in Ford City, PA, the first child to Henry and Blanche Walker.
Bev grew up in Ford City, graduated from Ford City High School, and received her college degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Beverly and James O. Beatty, of Kittanning, PA, married in 1956, and following brief stops in towns such as Norfolk, VA, settled in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1960s. In the late 1960s, Bev and Jim bought and operated the Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. James O. Beatty, V.M.D. practiced until he retired in 1992. Bev and Jim had two children, Amy and Greg, but eventually separated in the mid-1970s and divorced.
Beverly began her working career teaching high school, but worked primarily as an accountant and financial advisor. She established her own businesses, A/GEE Informational Services and Moonbeam Enterprises. Her offices were based in the towns of Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Los Altos, CA, throughout the 1980s and 1990s. She later worked from her Sunnyvale home, where she resided since 1966, and retired a few years prior to her passing.
Beverly was loved by many throughout her life, not only as a caring daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, but also by her friends and clients. She always thought of others first, whether it be her family or business relationships.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Lynn Beatty Hubert; son, Gregory Leigh Beatty; two grandchildren, Carly and Raquel Hubert; and sister, Marian Walker Cotugno.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Ruth Ann Walker; ex-husband James O. Beatty, and one grandchild, James Kyle.
No Services are scheduled. Her family requests memorial contributions are made in her memory to the donator's favorite charity.

Beverly you were one of the nicest persons I have ever known and I am proud to be your cousin. While stationed at the Oakland Army Base during 1966-67, I loved being invited to your home, visiting with you and Ruth Ann. Your kindness was amazing. I am sorry we lost touch over the years. May God be with your family.
