Robert W. Hilton

On April 25th, 2021 Robert Warren Hilton better known as Bob, passed away peacefully in his home in Zephyrhills, FL. He spent his final moments with his wife Gale Hilton by his side and close friends nearby. Bob served our country in the Korean War as a Military Policeman and was a great asset to the Army football team. Following his service he spent the majority of his career with General Motors. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed a long retirement splitting his time between Zephyrhills, FL and Wells, ME for several decades. He spent his summers enjoying the ocean breeze on his back deck overlooking the harbor. Bob loved when his children and grandchildren visited during the summers and together they would ride the trolley, play at the beach, and stop for ice cream at the Scoop Deck. As the summer turned into fall, Bob would make his way down to his home in Florida to continue to soak up the sun. Bob was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling. Along with his wife Gale, Bob is survived by his daughter Maureen Hilton of North Attleboro, MA and his son Brian Hilton and his wife Patty of Plymouth, MA. Bob is also survived by his two sisters Edith Scannell and her husband William of Wayland, MA and Joan Culliton and her husband Paul of Hopkinton, MA. Bob was predecesed by his brothers Maynard Hilton of St. Louis MO., and Herbert Hilton of Framingham, MA. He was a loving grandfather to Paula Robinson of Boston, MA, and Andie, Kaleigh, and Patrick Hilton of Plymouth, MA. Bob also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. We invite family and friends to gather in Bobs honor at First United Methodist Church on 20 Hoppin Hill Ave., in North Attleboro, MA 02760 at 10:00am on May 22nd, 2021.
