John Ferreira Obituary

JOHN LUIS FERREIRA MAY 1931 ~ JAN 2011 John passed away at Windsor Hampton Care Center in Stockton CA. John was born to Augustine and Francis Ferreira, on the family dairy in Gustine. The family moved the dairy to Salinas where he lived and worked until he married in 1961. John met and married his loving wife of forty five years Adeline Silva. It wasn't long after they moved to Hilmar, that they made their final home in Delhi, where they raised their only daughter Bernadette. John helped forged the foundation for Stampers/Banquet foods where he worked as a cook until he was disabled due to a back injury. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. He was also a member of S.E.S Portuguese Club, Luso Americans Club, Turlock Sportsman Club, Waterford Sportsman Club and the Moose Lodge. He loved to trap shoot, and hunt all over the USA, up until the time he could no longer physically hunt. John was a faithful Rams fan, he never missed a game. John is preceded in death by his loving wife Adeline; two brothers Augustine and Carl Ferreira. He leaves behind his only daughter Bernadette and son in-law Steve Franklin, Lincoln City, OR; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sisters Elsie Wells, Oregon City, OR; Elaine Grachak, Aromas, CA; and one Brother Joseph Ferreira, Watsonville, CA. Viewing will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary, a catholic funeral service will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Please leave your memories and condolences at www.modbee.com/obituaries www.allenmorutary.com ALLEN MORTUARY
