Jane Alma Kreps (Burwitz), 85 years, of Ida, MI, died Thursday October 11, 2018, at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Monday October 15, 2018, from 12-8 PM. She will lie-in-state in West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ida, MI, Tuesday October 16, 2018, from 10 AM until the services at 11 AM. Pastor Emily Frank will officiate. Burial will be in West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Ida, MI.
Born August 17, 1933, in Ida Township, MI. Jane was the daughter of Carl and Alma (Roswurm) Burwitz. She was a 1951 Ida High School Graduate. She married Lee Kreps on May 15, 1954, in West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ida, MI. Lee died February 20, 2016. Jane was a Secretary for Ida High School from 1973 until she retired in 2001. She was a member of West Ida Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dundee Caring and Sharing, the church counsel, Sunday school, Dundee Senior Center, Monroe Lullaby Extension Group and the Toledo Organ Club. She loved all church activities, watching all her life Ida sporting events, playing cards (Euchre), going on house calls for homebound members, sub-bus driving for Ida and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: a son, Douglas (Patti) Kreps; a daughter, Debra (Matthew) Brannan; a sister, Jean (Chester) Yarger; a brother-in-law, Roger (Marge) Kreps; sisters-in-law, Shirley Kreps, Shirley (Jerry) Anteau; grandchildren, Brian (Amy), Todd (Melissa), Craig (Erin), Jimmy (Grace); great-grandchildren, Mason, Reese, Elliott, Hosanna, Camden, Lydia, Abigail, Hayes and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother-in-law, Chuck Kreps and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Kreps.
