Dennis Trudeau Obituary
July 13, 1942 - September 22, 2017

Dennis Trudeau was born in Portland Oregon to Howard and Martha Trudeau. He died peacefully at his home in Carmel Valley, with his family at his side.
The oldest of seven children, Dennis and his siblings were raised in Pasadena, California. Dennis earned a BA from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA, leading to a position with the Price Waterhouse & Company; notably as the "Man with the Oscar Briefcase". In 1976, Dennis and his family relocated to the Monterey Peninsula where he established his own successful CPA practice, with long standing associate Christine Chalfant, never retiring.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years Jeanne, daughter Jeannine, sons Joel and Nicolas (Kim Brock), brothers Mark (Gretchan) and Vince (Connie), sisters Janette Garner (Tucker), Marianne Lebeau (Norm) and Cheryl Charles, 26 nieces/nephews and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by parents Howard and Martha, and brother Joel. Dennis remained close with sisters-in-law Carolyn Trudeau and Marie Treacy.
An avid Fly Fisherman and accomplished Fly Tyer, Dennis took his passion to the elusive waters of Christmas Island, Ireland, Mexico and the American Northwest, most often accompanied by his sons. While travelling to Ireland six times with Jeanne, he would revel in posing as a "local" in the pubs along the way!
Dennis enjoyed tending his home gardens, growing vegetables and fruit shared with family and friends, including his fellow Flanagan's Pub regulars at their weekly gathering.
An all-inclusive Bay Area sports fan, Dennis was a true f-a-n-a-t-i-c for the San Jose Sharks, donning team jerseys 24/7 and relishing season tickets where he'd sport a dyed teal beard! (Also known to regale St. Patrick's Day and Halloween!) Dennis was a devoted patron of the local live-arts, regularly attending theatrical and musical productions at the Carmel and Monterey venues.
