JOHNSON, Claud Edward,age 72, of Goshen passedaway, Friday, January 8, 2010at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be at2:00 p.m., Monday, January11, 2010 from the chapel ofGreen Hills Funeral Home,with Reverend W.O. Sandersofficiating. Burial will follow atthe Providence Cemetery inGlenwood. Family will receivefriends Sunday, January 10,2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Green Hills FuneralHome. He is survived by his wife of 40years, Linda ""Lynn"" Johnson;one son, Mickey (Diane)Johnson of Goshen, AL; twodaughters, Marquita (Tim)Franklin of Goshen, AL, Rhonda (Mark) Miley of Goshen,AL and one step-daughterMonique (Tom) Crawley ofGoshen, AL and Monique'stwo children, Edward and Audra Shumpert; eight grandchildren, Kia Jo Holladay,Richard (Kristin) Johnson,Blaine Farr, Rod (Tanya) Villegas, Jason (Alison) Franklin,Chad (Gina) Franklin, Peyton(Dusty) Taylor & Kelly (Rusty)Tomlin; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Holladay,Chloe Johnson, Reanna andMegan Villegas, Kelsey, Brett,and Abby Franklin, Miley Taylor, Ella-Kate and AnaJaymes Tomlin; and onegreat-great nephew, TritonWhiddon. He was preceded in death byhis parents, Milton and Rachel (King) Johnson, brotherClyde Lewis Johnson, nieceKathy Johnson Whiddon,great-nephew Marcus DaleWhiddon, and a special auntRuth King.Claud was an avid horselover and spent his life training, showing, judging andsharing his knowledge ofhorses with people of allages. He saw beauty in allhorses, but his expertise wasworking with walking andracking horses. He traveledyearly to the World RackingHorse Celebration to spend aweek with the top horses,trainers, and owners. Claudleaves behind many specialfriends from the 60 plus yearshe worked with his much beloved animals.Honorary pallbearer's will bethe Goshen High School Classof 1955.
