My prayers and thoughts have been with you all since June 1. Having lost my Dad and my spouse I can understand the grief you are going through. Chad was a good friend to me while having my store next to him. He was my sounding board lots of times when I needed business advice. He was so much help to me when I had to make the decision to close my store and gave me valuable advice. Sometimes we do not understand the unpleasant things we have to endure here on earth but some day we will have answers. This is the time in your life when only one set of footprints are seen for God is carrying you now. Love you all and will be in constant prayer for you.

Chad was my friend. I was a customer of Chads first and later we became friends. He was always willing to do whatever was necessary to make you happy with the item you purchased from him or if he was working on something for you, he made sure you were 100 percent satisfied with the work he done or the item he had sold you. Always smiling, always polite, always professional, and always curious how you were and how the family was when you were in his store. I can't imagine him not being here anymore. He will be missed. I am still in shock. Life is filled with so many ups and downs, happy times and sad times. This is one of those sad times. Rest in peace Chad.

I've only lived in the Elkin area for 12 years now and have had the privilege of meeting Chad on a number of occasions. Everything that has been said about Chad is so so true! He was always the nicest and most genuine person that I have met here! I was just in his store a few weeks ago and we had a great conversation about college football and some of the coaches we know, I'm going to miss him! I know that when God's children try to understand why things happen on this side of Heaven, the Lord gives us Proverbs 3:5. My wife and I will be praying for this family. May God comfort you!

Chad was always kind and always spoke when we saw him. He was loved and respected by so many in our community. Jordan I don't know you personally but I see your smiling face around school and my heart goes out to you and your family. I want you to know that you don't have to face this alone. First, know that God is by your side every single second that passes. Secondly, you have so many friends and family who are there to offer support or just be there to share in your loss. But last, there are people all around you like myself who have seen you in passing and knows how special you and Chad are. Loving, kind, and a heart for the community and the children who reside here. We are praying for you every step of the way. I wish there were something anyone could do or say to make this better. My hope is that you know you and your family are loved and you are not alone.

To the Family of Chad Sowers,
There are no words that are adequate at this sorrowful time in your lives. Please just know that each of you are thought about, prayed for, and loved. Chad was a very special gentleman who was widely respected in the Elkin City School system, at Appalachian State University, and throughout the community. He was a friend of all he met and did such special things for others because of his caring spirit. If I have one description of Chad, it would be that "He was ALL heart!". He put 110 percent into all of his endeavors as a young man through adulthood. Chad was respected, admired, and loved. Please know that each of you have a community of supporters who loved Chad and love you. This is a loss that has impacted everyone, but you all are the ones directly affected. It is with love we go to the throne of GOD and ask HIM to give you comfort during the times ahead.
Blessings and Love,
Shannon Macy Swaim ( Seth and Hope)
