Evelyn Lyons Obituary
Evelyn was born February 9, 1941, in Yadkin County to the late Richard Finney and Pansy Money Finney.
She was a devoted Christian and a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Evelyn enjoyed decorating, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her family. She always made time to care for others and will be remembered for her loving and giving heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Finney, and a brother-in-law, Steve Blackburn.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Crissy (Glen) Sidden and Joni (Gordon) Macemore; a sister-in-law, Louise Finney; a sister, Juanita Blackburn; two grandchildren, Kassidi (Ty) Johnson and Dalton (Caroline) Macemore; and three great-grandchildren, Micah Johnson, McKinley Johnson, and Preston Macemore.
A funeral service will be held on her birthday, Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, with Gordon Macemore officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
