Mark Evans Obituary
AGE: 61 • Fords
Mark F. Evans, 61, of Fords, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Mr. Evans was born in Elizabeth to the late Elmer and Martha Lukasik Evans and had previously lived in Rahway before moving to Fords thirty five years ago. He was employed as a maintenance clerk for thirteen years with the N.J. Highway Authority in Union before retiring in 2013. He was a member of the most Holy Name of Jesus Parish - Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy.
He is survived by his loving wife, of thirty eight years, Carol Fenyar Evans; his one daughter, Melanie Evans-Lowenberger and her husband Seth of Summit; his mother, Martha Evans of Santa Ana CA; his one brother, Bart Evans of Colonia; his one sister, Gail Dodds of Downingtown, PA; two grandsons, Gavin and Asher and many nieces and nephews, Godchildren and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 9:00 am Mass in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish - Our Lady of Hungary Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Space Foundation at www.spacefoundation.org or the charity of one's choice.
