William G. Enoch Sr.

Edison - "Bill" Enoch passed away peacefully on Dec 22nd, 2020 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ at the astounding age of 100.

Born in New Brunswick, NJ on January 20th, 1920 to William Independence Enoch and Agnes Long (Hughes) Enoch. He was a lifelong resident to Edison. After active military duty, he was an active member of the Sheetmetal workers union local #20 for 40 years. Receiving a total of 70 years of card-carrying retired membership.

A veteran of WWII, Europe. He served with the 23rd HDQTRS special troops "The Ghost Army", Motor Sergeant of the 603rd Camouflage Engineers Co. D- ranking as a Buck Sergeant. He received 5 bronze stars, 3 theater of operations medals, and a Purple Heart recognition for the wounds suffered during an enemy artillery shelling. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3117, member of Post 435 American Legion, and founder of The Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent #7 - a service organization to help bed ridden veterans. He was the #1 Cootie- Serving as seam squirrel.

He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy C. Enoch, and siblings Dorothea Hageman, Evelyn L. Keseleski, John W. Enoch and Russel W. Enoch. He is survived by his sister Emma S. Enoch of North Brunswick; His son William G Enoch Jr. and wife Kathleen Enoch of Edison; Grandsons Wayne C. Enoch and wife Mary Jane Enoch, William J. Enoch and wife Ryan Enoch; Great-grandchildren Wayne K. Enoch, Alaina Enoch, Brody Enoch and Brooklyn Enoch along with multiple nieces and nephews from the east to west coast.

Services are being held on Tuesday, Dec 29th from the hours of 4-7pm at Boylan Funeral Home located at 10 Wooding Ave Edison, NJ. Burial services will be held Wednesday, Dec 30th at 10am from Boylan Funeral Home to Evergreen Cemetery in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers- donations will be gratefully accepted to VFW Post #3117 (57 National Road Edison, NJ) in memory of "Bill Enoch".

I always enjoyed our dinners together with Kathy and Bill. Always enjoyed your stories and your life experiences. Going to Kathy and Bill's for a visit will never be the same. You will be missed. Rest in Peace Mr. Enoch.
