To the Devoe family,
The jewelry that Roy created has been a special part of my families life for over 20 years. Both of my parents wear rings that were designed by Roy and I have had my one of a kind nameplate necklace for 15 years now. Although myself and family have moved away from New Jersey he was still considered our jeweler. I was sad to hear what happened and my prayers are with the family. I will keep a peace of Roy with me forever.

DearAngela, My heart bled for you and your Dad upon hearing such devastating news.I actually learned of this tragedy the night of the viewing. Unfortunately, I was not well and not able to attend. But as many friends have expressed I too, will cherish the beautiful jewelry your Dad designed for me. Especially the beautiful one-of-a-kind silver/gold mermaid engagement ring that your Dad so incredibly made come to life for me. I receive compliments where ever I go. God is watching over all of you during this difficult time of grieving. He holds your father dearly only to one day reunite all of you to be together again. My heartfelt condolences to you and your sibblings, your Dad's Fiance and all family members. Blessed Be.....Love Donna Burdge

Angela,
Our prayers go out to you and your family during this tragic time. Words cannot express how sad we feel at the loss of your Dad. We were sorry that we missed the viewing and would have liked to express our condolences in person.
We started going to your Dad’s shop when he was in the little place on Stelton Ave. and have been loyal patrons ever since. He did beautiful work and he will be missed for the honesty and quality of it. No matter what we came in for we were always greeted in a welcoming manner by you and would see Roy working at his desk behind the glass.
When I look at the items we have gotten from him, I will always remember the man who created them, most especially, my daughter-in-laws engagement ring. My son drew the design out and Roy created an almost perfect match and since he was traveling out of state to propose, he came in on a Sunday to finish it for him. That gesture of “going the extra mile” was appreciated more than he may have realized.
Our prayers are for you and your family, may the Lord wrap His arms around you and carry you through this difficult time.

Dear Angela and Family:
I was so saddened to hear of Roy's passing. I too remember Roy and Angela from the store in Bridgewater, where Roy worked his magic to create several gorgeous pieces of jewelry for me, and Angela and I always had some really terrific chats (Angela may remember me because my husband was Bob Barone's uncle). No matter why you went into the store, Roy and Angela made you feel special and welcome. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. God bless Roy's family and friends during this most difficult time. Know that Roy will always be with you, you will never walk alone. My sincerest condolences.

Through you, your sister and brother,
your father's great gifts and love will

Dear Angela and the Devoe Family,
I there are not enough words in this world to express the saddness and sorrow of the loss of Roy. He was one of the greatest gifts God gave to us in this world. Roy share with us his wonderful gift of love frendship caring and most of all his gift of the craft God blessed him with to share with us. My heart aches for all of Roy's family. I came to know Roy when he was in the first Piscataway location. My son Alex is the same age as Angela, and when there were little, they would run around the store together while I talked to Roy, picked up jewelry or bought jewelry. Angela had her stockpile of toys in the corner :) Haven't been to the store at the new location, and everyday when I would look at my small box of broken jewelry, I would think I have to find out where Roy is, as no one else was as good. Guess the jewelry has to stay broken now. May God bless all of you at this difficult time.

We are all so sorry for your tragic loss.

Roy was a valued, respected, and dear friend of my family and someone I have know since my childhood. I last visted Roy at his Bridgewater store a year or so back and was greeted (as always) by his warm, welcoming smile, and quick wit. He always looked so 'at home' sitting behind his jewelers desk crafting his latest masterpiece. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you...

Dear Angela and all family members, as many other friends have expressed that there are not many words to express our sorrow for the turn of tragic events that took place on Feb. 7th. My heart has been bleeding for Angela. I've been asking God for all the people who can support the family members and the friends who are in disbelief and great pain to have us reach out to one another to help ease the pain. It is with our christian teachings that Roy is in a greater place and one day he will welcome us when we cross over. Roy made several beautiful pieces of jewelry for me but the one that I slip on my finger everyday and receive many, many compliments is my engagenent ring. A silver/gold mermaid with a diamond being held in her hand. Roy & I worked on it together but it was his skill and design that brought it to fruition. Muchlove to you Angela and family. Ang,

I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. Roy was such a nice man. The girls and I always enjoyed coming in to "design" a new ring or charm for their bracelet...and he always did exactly what we were looking for! He will be deeply missed.

I have you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that you are doing okay. I am so sorry that you had to go through that...but I know that you are a strong and beautiful woman and you will get through this...with a little help from your guardian angel!

With my deepest sympathy,

Dear Angela and Family,
Words cannot express the sadness I feel when I think about the tragic turn of events that has happened in your lives. My mom discovered your dad's wonderful jewelry store in Piscataway many years ago, and so I was delighted when the new one opened so close to my home. I will always appreciate the way everyone who came into the store was treated like the most important customer in the world, even if it was only to replace a watch battery. Please know that many caring thoughts and prayers throughout the community are with you at this time.

Dear Angela and Family,
We are so sorry for your tragic loss. Roy made my engagement ring and a few other special pieces. Please know that you are in my thoughts.

Please accept our heartfelt sympathies on the tragic loss of your father Roy, he will be missed by many who knew him.
While the store was in Piscataway he made many custom pieces for our family. He would always bring out the most beautiful stones for us to see and he would make something one of a kind with them. He was a master craftsman.
I know he loved his family with all his heart, he will be with you always, watching over you with the love he shared with you.
Let the memories you have of Roy help you through this sad time.

Angela & Family,

I'm so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your Father. You two have been so good to me - always making me feel at home in your store - for the littlest things. He reset my engagement ring & redesigned my wedding band to keep it from wearing too thin. I will always cherish the care & talent he took with every piece of jewelry even if it was just for a cleaning. My girls & I always looked forward to coming to the store to visit with you guys & the dogs, where we were always greeted by a big smile from you. We are deeply saddened by this and want you to know you are in our prayers & hearts. He left a wonderful legacy in each piece of jewelry he touched. Much Love,

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow I will always cherish the beautiful pieces Roy made me over the years most recently the resetting of my wedding band Your father was a gentleman, a craftsman and a loving father I first met your father in his Piscataway store when I picked up a bracelet my husband had Roy make for me My daughter was with me and Roy of course was sitting at his work bench My daughter went over to Roy to watch him work and he started showing her what he was doing When she finished talking to Roy she came over and showed me something Roy had given her It was a beautiful emerald cut blue topaz stone he had placed in a little bag with her name on it When I said to Roy that wasn't necessary he said "All little girls should have jewelry" My daughter still has that stone in her jewelry box in the little bag Roy placed it in 18 years ago Our family will always remember his kindness I'm sure he is up there watching over you and making jewelry for all the little girls in heaven He will be greatly missed

Our family is so shocked and saddened by such a trajedy. Since the day I first entered the store I felt welcome and comfortable; as other family members visited they felt the same. We always knew we could trust Roy and his family with even our most precious sentimental pieces. I have never let anyone else take my great-grandmother's ring out of my sight but his honesty and integrity made all of us comfortable. Because of our work schedules we were unable to express our condolences personally, something we had really hoped we could do, including our sons. Our youngest son, David, is considering careers. One is opening his own jewlry store because of the impression Roy and his family made. He touched many lives as jewelry marks so many important occasions. We treasure the pieces he made; I know noone else has the custom pieces he made. They represent important events in our lives. You are in our thoughts and prayers. -The VanBree Family Angie, what can I say? We hope to hear from you, see you. I can't imagine what this is like for you. You're a special lady. I'm praying for you. Love-Doriann

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you, Roy's family. I knew Roy since we were in kindergarten. He made my daughter, Stacie's, wedding ring. Stacie was always in the store with jewelry to be fixed, and Roy and Angela were always there with a smile and kind words. We have all moved to Colorado 2 years ago, and haven't been in the store since then. But you have our deepest and sincere condolences. God bless you all and keep you safe.

R.I.P. ROY
Taken too soon, too violently. Roy lived for his family and when Angela come back to Jersey to be by his side, created a business that was like no other. When you walked into the store, you walked into their lives. They were like family to all who entered their store. Angela knew a little or a lot of each customer and made you feel special. Pop was always working at his workbench but always stuck his head out to say hi to me. They always made me feel special. Her father protected her to the end. Take comfort in knowing that you all have a special guardian angel to watch over you. No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve. We MUST cherish his memories forever. “Hey POP, this one’s for you!!!” You will be in my heart forever and in my thoughts every day.
