Anne G Cermak

AGE: 86 • Brick

Anne G. Cermak, 86, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born and raised in Jersey City to the late Anthony and Anna Karaway, she has resided in Brick since 1968. Anne was a devoted wife and mother, after raising her family, she spent time working at Point Pleasant Hospital as the TV Lady. She enjoyed crocheting, trips to Atlantic City and was an avid bingo player. Most of all, she enjoyed the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marion Luzhak, Sophie Hendricks, and Stephen Karaway. Surviving are her beloved husband of 63 years, Stephen M. Cermak, her loving children, Stephen Cermak and wife Linda, Susan Flitton and husband Kirk, and Anne-Marie Compton and husband Kenneth, her dear sister Jane Golish, and her cherished grandchildren, Kirk, Kelli Rose, Kristian, Katherine, Matthew, Stephanie, Stephen, and Ali Rose.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 11th at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. For directions and condolences, please visit www.OBrienFuneralHome.com

Sincere heartfelt sympathy go out to the entire family during this time. I remember Anne as a lovely, kind and generous lady who was always smiling whenever I would see her at my Aunt Rose & Uncle Tommy's house.
