William Paul Skroskis Jr.

Port Monmouth - William "Bill" Skroskis Jr., (age 54) of Port Monmouth, NJ passed away suddenly on April 8, 2021.

I just met Bill approximately a year and a half ago, while we worked as a team to help his mother-in-law, Marie Zeto, (my neighbor), on a very complex construction issue with her home. Through the thick of it, Bill was always fun to work with, a guy that I could depend on to step to the plate and keep me covered. He was a super intelligent guy, and always had an angle that we were able to pursue. He was, and always will be, the shining light in his mother-in-law's eyes. I will remember Bill forever. My deepest sympathy to his wife, Kristen and the family.

“All men have the stars but they are not the same things for different people. For some, who are travelers, the stars are guides. For others they are no more than little lights in the sky. For others, who are scholars, they are problems. For businessman they were wealth. But all these stars are silent.
You–you alone–will have the stars as no one else has them–”
“And at night you will look up at the stars.
My star will just be one of the stars, for you. “In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night
And so you will love to watch all the stars
You–only you–will have stars that can laugh.
I shall not leave you”
There is sweetness
in the laughter of all the stars.
and in the memories of those we love.”

RIP Bill. The world seems just a tad bit dimmer without you here.
Many will be looking for your star. It will be the brightest.

I heard about Bill's passing from a mutual colleague at BDP. I worked with Bill on several projects together in the 90's. Bill approached endeavors as a polished consummate professional. Mission focused, team oriented, with a constant flow of positive energy. Just a solid nice guy.

Sincere condolences to Bill's mother, wife and children.

With sorry and good memories.
