Sarah Hartsell Obituary

MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. | Sarah Hart Hartsell, 86, formerly of Johnson Street, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Genesis Elder Care in Mooresville, N.C.

She was a native of Gaston County and a daughter of the late Marion Hall and Cora Keller Hart. She was the widow of Warren Lee Hartsell.

She was a homemaker and member of New Covenant United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy L. Hartsell and his wife, Gerrie, of Mooresville and Larry W. Hartsell and his wife, Jan, of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Charles David Hart of Denver and Calvin Caldwell Hart of Mount Holly; five grandchildren, Bryan R. Hartsell and his wife, Lourdes, Sharon H. Childers and her husband, the Rev. David, Amelia H. Hartsell, David R. Hartsell and Dr. Patrick Alan Hartsell Jr. and his wife, Krista; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Patrick A. Hartsell Jr.; five brothers, Ralph Lee Hart, Lawrence Lafayette Hart, George Eli Hart, Graham Henderson Hart, Russell Benjamin Hart; and a sister, Virginia Dare Hart Baker.

A graveside service was Thursday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.

A memorial service was Thursday at New Covenant United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wade Childers officiated. Visitation was after the service at the church.
