I met Abe through his son, Matt, who was in my Boy Scout Troop. He was a good man, who taught me a great many things. Probably the most important thing he taught me was patience and kindness. This planet will be a lesser place without him in it, this I am certain of. I found this looking for his son, just to reach out and say hello, and now my heart is heavy. My heart goes out to huis family, as I am all too familiar with the very ugly disease that took him far too early.
