Visitation: 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Baker Funeral Home SURVIVORS: Sons, Cornelius C. Carr Jr. (Charlene) and Garrett S. Hunter Jr.; daughters, Ethel C. Mitchell, Dr. Carolyn Yusuf and Marilyn Sturns (Louis); 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

It was such a pleasure to work with Abe from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. He was a mentor to so many students and younger faculty at South Campus. His catching smile and calm spirit was a plus in his position of Special Services Director and working with the Basic Studies Department.
