To the family of Abe Washington,
It was such a pleasure to work with Abe from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. He was a mentor to so many students and younger faculty at South Campus. His catching smile and calm spirit was a plus in his position of Special Services Director and working with the Basic Studies Department. We collaborated on many occupational field trips for students in the Women In New Roles program. He was committed to excellence in student development and went the extra mile in his professionalism. We shared the motto of
"Success breeds Success" in our work with students and the community. His office door was always open to students or faculty who had concerns. My life was blessed to have known him and worked with him for so many years. Sending prayers and blessings, Triesha Light
