Abraham Weissman Obituary
AGE: 102 • Tinton Falls
Abraham Weissman, 102, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, he worked as a purchasing agent in the Radio and TV industry. He was married to his wife, Evelyn, (nee Solomon), who predeceased him in October 2011, for 71 beautiful years. A World War II veteran, Abe served with the 75th Infantry Division and received a Purple Heart for wounds during the Battle of the Bulge. He raised his family in Fair Lawn, NJ, and in 1962 started a business, Duffy Electronics, in which he was CEO for 25 years. He retired to Boynton Beach, Fla. and then moved to Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls for the last 10 years. Abe was an avid golfer and loved poker, craps and the Yankees.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhoda Solomon and Myrna Rosen; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was loved and respected by his family and friends.
Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. in Beth El Cemetery, Washington Township. Arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan.
