I fondly remember Dr. Block from my days at the University of Delaware in the early 1980's. He was an amazing professor and his passing is a great loss.

The Obituary talks about taking his students abroad to study. In 1989, I was fortunate enough to accompany his first PSU class to Holland. Without a doubt the positive impact this trip made on me still impacts me 28 years later in my career. Thank you sir please rest in peace.
