Dear Bornstein family,
We just heard the sad news about Dr. Bournstein's passing. He was our son's surgeon this past year. He performed a pyloric exclusion on him. It was a very serious and difficult surgery. Dr. Bornstein told us that if our son hadn't been in such good shape and as young as he was (48) that he could have died. He was in the hospital recovering for 6 weeks. Dear Liz, Kate, Talia and extended family, We just learned about Dr. Bornstein's passing and send our deepest condolences. He was a true hero and someone my fiancé and I will always admire, appreciate and respect. He performed a very complicated, emergency surgery on my fiancé (who was 48 yrs old at the time), and, ultimately, saved his life with his superior talent as a surgeon. My condolences to Dr. Bornstein's family & friends. This was a shock to find this out when I called to make an appt. I am so sorry to hear he passed away. This wonderful Surgeon saved my mother's life at 82 yrs. old & she is still living 11 years later. Thank you Dr. Bornstein you will forever be in our hearts.
