Alan Ingham

Dr. Ingham was great friend, advisor and teacher. He was the first person I met when I started graduate school. He made me feel welcome and always had time to share a story. I will miss those days and carry his memory with me always.

Alan was a great man with a kind heart and joyful smile. I remember he sat down to comfort me on one occasion. As tears ran down my cheeks, he chased them away with hugs and kind words. His memory will live on in the hearts and lives of those that Alan touched. I believe that Alan is responsible for changing many peoples lives and redirecting their personal paths. Alan will be deeply missed. Our prayers go out to Christine and Tony.

I had Dr Ingham for classes in PHS for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. His enthusiasm was contagious and he always challenged me to "think outside the box"

When I was Alan's Graduate Program Secretary his phone number was on my speed dial. That was before e-mail, cell phones and all of the technology available now. He was hard to keep track of but I usually found him. Before everyone had their own computers he kept us all busy. He was a very prolific writer.

AS Coordinator of International Admissions in the Graduate School at Miami, I worked with Alan on many occasions. And it was always a pleasure. He was great fun, yet he made sure his students got the attention and answers they needed. Alan always had a smile and a story to tell. I will miss him. God's Blessings to Chris and the family. Lynn
