Not sure what to say?

I met Sergeant First Class Martinbeault when I was a young officer in my first command. We were in Baumholder, Germany, waiting for the weather to clear so that we could fly to Italy, and then on to Bosnia. The troops were getting restless waiting around, so Alan organized movie nights. We watched "Crimson Tide," a movie about mutiny aboard a Navy submarine. The critical scene occurred when the Chief of the Boat, a non-commissioned officer, ordered the ship's captain to be arrested. I got to know Alan and his family while he was stationed in Mainz / Germany. We often visited each other, played cards or celebrated Thanks Giving. We often went to US car shows together. I was shocked to find his obituary notice while doing some internet research.
R.I.P. Alan

I never got to know him well as he was serving his country but still a important member of our small family. He will be missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I served with Alan while stationed in A25 in Germany. He was a person that I greatly admired for his candor and excellent advice that he offered freely. Alan had a memorable personality that enabled me to persevere through some of my own conflicts. He was a great person whom will not be forgotten. My prayers are with him and his family.

To the entire Martinbeau family, so sorry for your untimely loss. Our prayers are with you.

Teri, Craig and family, Kurt (aka Betsy) and I would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to you all. The loss of Al is a big one. A huge void in the lives of many. The world is a little darker and colder without him. He was a great man and great friend to us and countless others. He was so good to us. I still remember the first day we met him and as well as the day we met each one of you. We love you! Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to you. Al- rest in peace. You deserve it. We love...

MSG Martinbeault - Alan was a big man in our A/25 FA family, with a huge heart, a true Soldier's Soldier. You touched more people than you will ever know. I am personally deeply sadden by his untimely passing. He lived life to the fullest. May you rest in peace now. God bless you and your Family.

So glad to have known MSG Martinbeault it was an honor to deploy with him.
