Not a day goes by that I don't miss that smile, charm, humor and selfless giving...almost 10 years later still seams like yesterday.

I just read the latest issue of Emory Magazine and was shocked to read of AP's passing in 2003. Alan was there during a time of transition for me (1993). He was what I envisioned a true southern gentleman to be: caring, thoughtful, witty and intelligent. It was a privilege to have known him and through my travels AP always had a place in my heart!
Condolences to the Palmer family.

I have been thinking of alan alot in the past few weeks with the East lake member guest coming up.I am sort of happy that I am not going to be able to play this year because it would be strange without AP and Mitch there to laugh with.we had alot of fun playing together and cracking up the whole time.I will be thinking of alan and his family this weekend and will be happy that I had a chance to be his friend.

Alan will be missed by everyone that knew him.

To the Palmer Family,
I wish to express my sincere condolences on the sad news of Alan's passing. My sister, Ellen, and I always enjoyed being friends with Alan in high school. He was a great guy and I will always remember him as a true gentleman. My prayers are with your family during this holiday season.
Sincerely,
Lisa Whittington Carhart

Alan and I shared business interests, and now the early passing of such a fine spirit pales all other worldly concerns. For those who were closest, my deepest sympathy. For all who knew him, we are better for having shared his brief but exceptional presence, in this realm. Godspeed A.P.

I was shocked at the news of Alans passing and am sorry that I was unable to attend the service.Alan and his family and his many friends have been in my thoughts and prayers.I knew Alan from East Lake and the highlight each year at the member Guest was playing against him and Mitch. While it was very competative it was the best match because we would laugh the whole time.I am glad that I had the opportunity to be touched by such a special person. I know Alan is in a better place now and I am...

I always considered Alan one of my closest friends and golfing pals. Of all my friends, there is no one that I preferred to be around than Alan. He always positive, upbeat and always had something funny to say. I will really miss him...
