Not sure what to say?

He was my doctor for more than twenty years. He was an amazing doctor and always sat down to talk about anything I might ask. Over the years he was not just a doctor but a good friend. I had a change in my insurance so I had to switch from him the year before he retired. He told me before that he would work at Craig disability hospital. He was very excited about it. He was just a wonderful dad, husband, and doctor as was Charles Dafoe both great people.

I came for my annual check up and told Al i feel great! He said in a stern voice Ill be the judge of that! Thks for keeping me alive Al! I so enjoyed bird hunting with u and the kids! God Bless u! Rick Blanco

What a wonderful doctor he was and a friend I felt after being his patient over so many years! I´ll never forget one visit I´d gone into the room and he came in shortly and ask how I was, and before I could answer he say wait a minute " your fine right" lol cause I´d always say I´m fine when I actually went in for something bothering me! Lol I wasn´t very talkative as a patient! He and his buddy. Another great Doctor Charles Dafoe also my doctor. Those two did bring my quietness out of me...

I think of Allen Spee´s often and wish there were more Doctors out there like him! He was so thoughtful and listened when you had concerns about your health! I had no idea he would be gone in four years after I´d had to change doctors because of insurance change! I know Allen is up there with Dr.Charles Dafoe also his friend and my OBGYN who sent me to Dr Spee´s in the first place since I had no PCP. And I am grateful. I pray his family is healing and that they know what a wonderful man and...

Oh no! I just learned of his passing today! He was a WONDERFUL doctor and family friend. My "aunt" called him "Speesy". She and my mother Alleyene worked with him ar Spalding and St Joseph´ Hospitals. I am so saddened. Dr. Spees, I thought of you today and thought to look you up and my heart is broken. To your family, we all loved him.

What a wonderful Doctor and person he was. I'm totally in shock that he is gone. I remember him telling me he was going to be retiring and wanted to work at Craig hospital rehab center. He will be truly missed. My condolences to his family. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry this is late but I just found this out. God be with you all.

As we frequently drive past the previous location of our old office, I can't help but think of Alan and the
other physicians who shared our building. We have such good memories of those who have gone before.

I have so many fond memories of Al Spees. My husband, Mark, worked with him for many years at DIMG and Craig Hospital, and we had the pleasure of getting to know the family. When we saw Al at social gatherings, he was always present for conversations and never failed to ask questions about life and our family. He just exuded a kind and caring manner. He modeled his focus on the bigger arena of life outside of medicine. As an aside, it was so much fun to walk in his office at Denver...

Dr. Spees was my PCP for at least 15 years. He listened, cared and was extremely thorough; not just on the routine med-check visits, but also the urgent ones. Once, when he was too busy to see me during one of those urgent care or moments I was assigned to a new young internist. She looked at the swollen area Just above my waist on my back. It also had red streaks to going upwards but was unable to determine the cause. After about 30 minutes Dr Spees came in from his busy schedule. He looked...
