Sorry to hear about Al´s passing. I had the pleasure of supplying his restaurant with outdoor advertising for over 20 years. He was a real pleasure to do business with. I remember delicious food both at the Gaslight at Macon coming back from Mizzou football games and the Pear Tree in Bevier. Al was always there with a friendly word. The example of a real "hands on" proprietor. I am sending the family of Al our sincere sympathy. May God bless you. Jim Alford

He was always so generous to me and interested in my life and family. May God great him with open arms as he reunites with so many family members. God Bless.

I'm not family, but I feel like family--Thanks to Al. Thanks to his hospitality. Thanks to many perfect meals--across many decades. His spirit will be wherever a great meal is being served. My heart goes out to the family.

Al was a hard worker, and a good family man. He gave a lot of people a chance to earn money, and gain valuable work experience.
