Dear Donna, Our hearts go out to you and your family. We so enjoyed meeting Al. Ted and Dorothy took us to his restaurant and then we got to see him again in AZ. What a neat man. We will be praying for you all as you face the times ahead.

Donna and family: I only learned of Al's passing today in the Star Tribune south section. Although I did not know Al well, I remember seeing him often at Al Baker's, where he would always take time to greet customers regardless of how busy it was. At the Enjoy grand opening, Al spoke to me at length about his restaurant background and experience. He was obviously both a well-liked and well-respected man. Al hired me into my first job as a busboy at the Burnsville Ground Round back in 1983.
