Entered eternal rest at the age of 88 at his home in Belleview, Florida. Albert DiGiulio was born in 1936, in Buffalo, NY., the son of the late Albert and Mary DiGiulio. Albert is survived and missed by his loving wife of 24 years, Rose Marie (nee Sirolli); his children Valerie DiGiulio, Andrea Schwartz (the late Paul), Albert DiGiulio (Chris), Michael DiGiulio (Mayra), the late Douglas Scheer (Susan), MaryJo Schaefer (James), Rena Coker, and John DiGiulio (Kari). Forever remembered and cherished by his siblings and their families; Lawrence (JoAnn), and Marilynn Cunningham (Brendan). Albert will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Christopher, Brandon, Lauren (Brandon), Anthony (Jennifer), Tyler (Cara), Spencer (Tay), Alessandra, Michael, Shane, Brooke, Nicco, Mia, Johnny, Colton, Matteo, Joey, Tommy, and Luca; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brayden, Gabriella, Sterling, and Vinny. His memory also lives on with his many nieces, nephews and cousins. His memory will be cherished by the Sirolli family; Carmen (Beckie), Jeannette (the late Robert), Peter, Nancy (Joseph), Andrew (Michelle), and Paul. Albert was a lifelong resident of Western New York before retiring to Belleview, Florida. Mr. DiGiulio's family were legends in the restaurant business in Buffalo, NY for many years. His father, Albert Sr. and his two uncles, Peter and Leo founded the original Club 31 restaurant in 1942, and his Uncle Hugo founded Victor Hugo's Wine Cellars in 1944. Albert started working at the Club 31 at a very young age and had the distinct pleasure one evening of being the server for Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Todd, and on another occasion attending a boxing match with Burt Lancaster and Albert Sr. after Burt Lancaster dined at the Club 31. Albert was a great boxing fan and when asked a historical boxing question was never stumped. One of his prized possessions is from his personal meeting with the undefeated Heavyweight champion, Rocky Marciano. Albert served in the Air Force Reserve Unit in Niagara Falls from 1959 until he was honorably discharged in 1965. Albert graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1962 with a degree in Business Administration and went on to become a Financial Planner, holding licenses in several states. Additionally, Albert became a licensed life insurance agent and consultant. He loved to swim and was on the Bennett High School swimming team for four years. While at the University of Buffalo he was a member of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and was their treasurer for two years. He had been a life member of Alpha Phi Delta and was still active in fraternity events. His legacy will carry on forever with those who loved and cherished him. The service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at The Kenmore Alliance Church, 175 Bonnett Ave., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Delaware/Delavan entrance immediately after service. All are welcome.
