I have lots of good memories of time spent with your dad - he was always an "up" person and always had a great joke or funny story to tell.
But one of my earliest memories was when he'd get "stuck" picking me up and driving me home from grammar school when the weather was bad (the school bus was not available to me) and he'd arrive in a hearse!
Naturally, he thought it was pretty funny, and of course I thought it was extremely embarrassing.

My earliest memory of your Dad was at our dining room table making you kids eat all of your vegetables. Some of you opted to hold your nose and swallow peas whole.
Al was a wonderful, loving man with a great sense of humor. I will cherish his memory.
