Albert Lefcourt, aged 98 passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in his home in South San Francisco with his children at his side. He joins his wife Carolee and daughter Karen in Heaven. Al was born in Astoria Queens, NY and moved to San Francisco after serving in the Navy during WWII, to be closer to his father Irwin. That is where he met his wife, Carolee, of nearly 60 years. They built a home and raised their family in the same house in South San Francisco. He had many interests including travel, bowling, golf, theater and of course watching his favorite teams the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants. And through these things he had many friends and activities that enriched his life.
He is survived by his children Virginia and Larry, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, his sister Sandy, brother-in-law Cary and brother Lew.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday Feb. 21, 2025, at Olivet Garden of Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma, CA. A memorial service will be held following at 4 pm at Sharp Park golf course in Pacifica, CA.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the SPCA.

I remember working for AL at when he managed the Brentwood Bowl in the 70's.

I didn't know Albert very well but the times that we did spent with him were always very pleasant. Albert was a very cheerful and full of life person. That's what I admired in him. May he rest in peace.

WOW Larry, I had no idea your pops was a SSF man. He had a great life and great run and I bet he was smiling all the way out of this world and now smiles down upon you all.
