Not sure what to say?

John Riley and I were so sad to hear about A.D. He was such a good friend growing up with J.R. in New Bern and the best man in our wedding in l960. He was a wonderful person. We will miss him very much. John Riley and Sallie Ross

FROM DALLAS, TEXAS, My name is Ken Korges and I was born and raised in Texas. I visited a friend of mine in Raleigh several times over the years. And for that matter, visited and worked a couple of times at the Soup Kitchen. I think I recall meeting A. D. I met so many at the Soup Kitche who were volunteering. God bless them all. ~ ~ ~ "Lord, in Heaven, I barely met A.D. muchless knew him. But from what I have barely remember, he was a very, very fine man and a Servant of yours,...

My husband and I were sorry to read about A.D.'s passing.I didn't know him well, but my husband, (Morris (Pokey) Banks, grew up with him & he was an usher at our wedding in Boston, Mass. 46 years ago. Our thoughts & prayers are with you.

I thought the world of AD. My husband and I were lucky enough to live in his neighborhood for a short while and were always happy to see him and chat while he was out on one of his daily walks with Moses. He was a wonderful and kind person and a true gentleman. I am so sorry we have lost him. He will be missed and thought of fondly and often.

I knew Mr. Sawyer for only a few months, helping him manage his pain. He always greeted me at the door along with Moses and was just as concerned about what was going on in my life as his own life. I looked forward to my visits with him. He warmed my heart and I felt that I always got more out of our visits than he did. I was very saddened to hear about his passing and I will miss his warm generous heart.

I didn't know Mr. Sawyer, but after reading about him and his dog Moses I wanted to express to your family my condolences for your loss. It is obvious by the devotion and love that he gave his dog and other community dogs that he was a very kind and loving man. My thoughts are with you.

I have known Mr. Sawyer for many years, helping him manage his diabetes. He always was smiling and upbeat no matter what. He always asked about my kids and pets. He was truly a good friend besides being my patient. He will be missed and I am saddened by his passing.

So sorry to hear about A.D.
Just wanted you all to know you are in our prayers.
