Not sure what to say?

This evening I received the sad news from UDT – SEAL Association which he was a member. The toll of the ship’s bell reminds us of the reverence we owe to our departed Shipmates. Let us who gather here not forget our obligations and in silence breathe a prayer for our departed Shipmates.

Ruth:

May you find comfort in this moment of sadness and certainty of faith to live through this hour. My condolences to you and your family. Al was a great man who loved his family, his nation and the Navy. God go with you my friend and may you experience fair winds and following seas as you now intercede for us! Don't give up the ship.

Al, you will be greatly missed in our hearts. That is a void that cannot be filled. Ruth, be strong and remember, as always we will be praying for you.

Al, you were more than a great man, you were a great friend. I will never forget the memories and the Massman's deli lunches we had. You touched so many people in positive ways throughout your life. May you rest in peace.

I will miss you.

Rest well my friend, you've earned it.
