Not sure what to say?

My husband Anthony and I have many fond and funny memories of Albie here at UMassmed. He was a sweet man that always made us smile. Our sincere condolences to the Sherman family.

I had the privilege of working with Albie throughout my career. He started as a mentor and became a dear friend. His generous and gregarious nature made it such a treat to be in his company. His pride in and love for his family was unparalleled. His support of so many important causes speaks volumes about his character and leadership. Sincere sympathies to his entire family. He will be missed.

I worked with Albie at Boston University Medical Center in the 1980s. I was his "little Jewish friend" from the opposite end of the state. Whenever my father would visit me from North Adams, Albie would insist on getting us Red Sox tickets, asking for nothing in return except for us to enjoy a great afternoon at Fenway Park.

Now, 40 years later, I'm remembering what a good guy he was. May he rest in peace.

Albie will sorely be missed. He was an absolute "mensch".

Albie was a joy to work with and had a real zest for the possible. My wife and I will never forget his kindness and friendship. Peter and Annie Larkin

He was devoted to the cause of developing strong relations between Massachusetts and Israel and was so gracious with his time. We were very...

I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Albie for all that gave of himself to all of us here at UMass Medical School. Albie was always tireless in his dedication and unflinching in his loyalty. He will be missed, and he will always be remembered by those of us who have the privilege to work in the Albert Sherman Center on the UMMS campus. Dean Terry Flotte
