Albert Toro Obituary
Albert Rodriguez Toro, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday May 21, 2016. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years, Nellie; sons, Albert and Eddie; daughters, Michelle Toro and Lucia Trakimas (son-in-law John); grandchildren, Alexandria, Adrianna, Blake, Nikolas, Hunter, Anthony and Maddox. Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico and raised as a teenager in Spanish Harlem, NY. Albert and Nellie moved their family to Barstow, CA in 1973 and have been here ever since. He worked at Santa Fe Railroad for 12 years before retiring from San Bernardino County in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and his proudest moments were taking different generations of Toro's fishing in Apple Valley and Silverwood Lake. Upon retirement, he took pride in spending time with his kids and grandkids. The visitation will take place on Thursday, May 26 at 5:30p.m. at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, Barstow, California, 92311. A catholic mass will take place on Friday, May 27 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 505 E. Mountain View with the burial immediately following at Mt. View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road.

I was lucky to have known him years ago. Albert (his son) and I worked at McMahans Furniture years ago. He was a very loving man. I can see how his son took after him.
