Alberta Spencer

I adored Berta! We go back many years -- enjoying many classes together as we began our journey in ministry. I have so many wonderful memories of classes and adventures with her! My prayers go out to all her loved ones who are left to carry on without her. She was a beautiful, dear, beloved woman of God. It was a privilege to know her and call her friend!

Berta was a beautiful influence in the lives of so many of the youth at Waxaw United Methodist Church. She was present with me at the hospital when my oldest son was in surgery to repair his broken femur. She was also like a second mom to my middle son. I'm so grateful for all the love and kindness she modeled to the youth. Well done, good and faithful servant. May you rest in sweet heavenly peace.

Dear Mike and family, David and I were so very sorry to hear that Berta had died. Our deepest condolences go out to all the family. We enjoyed Berta so very much when she was at Waxhaw United Methodist Church! She was a great influence on our son Darrick and the other youth at church. She made learning about God fun for the teenagers and helped many of them with their walk with Jesus. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
