Not sure what to say?

We met Alex through two of his experiences mentioned in the obituary. Our daughters, Emily and Jessica, met Alex during the study abroad in South Africa, an outstanding memory of their college years. While all of the OTS students went on some of the early-morning game drives, Emily, Jessica, and Alex signed up for all of them. Gerry, Gabrielle and family... Alex seemed to have been such an exceptional person. He was so involved in life given his illness. The world is now a smaller place without him. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Jim Ercolani

I don't know this young man but for some reason his obituary caught my eye. After reading it I thought to myself what a shame it is that not only his family but the world has lost such a remarkable person.I hope he has inspired a few more people to step up to complete his work and dreams.May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the Burdo family. I am forever grateful to have met and gotten to know Alex during his time at Brio. We had wonderful conversations and laughs about birds, photography, and baseball. I know I will always think of him fondly every time I watch the A´s play.. I will miss you dearly Alex.. Sending all my love and thoughts to the Burdo family. Love, Christine Williamson

Our sincere condolences and prayers to Gerry and the Burdo Family.

I didn´t know Alex long but he made a deep impression in my heart. The short time I spent with Alex was incredibly fun at times and also sad. I know he is in his heavenly surroundings with friends and relatives having the best of times! Every time I listen to a David Bowie song I will think of you . Follow your birds ! Love to your whole family, Terri Finnegan

Alex and my son Zach were friends and members of the young birders club together as teenagers. I remember Alex and how much it meant to Zach to meet him, another teenager who shared his love and passion for birds. I am so very sorry for your loss. Maybhisbmemory be for blessing.
