Not sure what to say?

I just learned this evening of Mr. Clain's passing. Like so many others, I and my son, Kye, will remember him as someone who instilled confidence and a love of learning in the students he worked with. He was so much at the heart of Browne middle school and especially the drama and musicals! And for me, as a parent I appreciated his ability and willingness to listen. I always saw a twinkle in his eye and loved his quick wit and humor. My heartfelt condolences to Mr. Clain's family.

We were profoundly saddened to learn of Mr. Clain-Stefanelli's passing. We feel so fortunate to have known this kind educator without peer, who left our sons with a keen interest in history and the classics. “Mr. Clain's” incisive sense of humor helped put the many tragedies of young adulthood in perspective, and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Clain-Stefanelli's family.

Deepest condolences to the family. Special memorial tonight. He was a unique man and great educator.

Parent of former Browne student

He was a great teacher and an even better man. Middle school kids can be a real pain - my friends and I were no exception - and he not only tolerated us, but also seemed to genuinely enjoy being around us. Although most in that age range are more prone to rebellion than they are to respecting authority, you would be hard pressed to find a student of his who didn't admire appreciate him.

Mr. Clain was a calm guiding presence to our son and us, the parents, during the middle school years at Browne Academy. Our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Clain's family. - Richard and Linda Adleson (Burke, VA)

I was shocked to learn of Alex's death today. My deepest sympathy to his wife & daughters. We will remember Alex fondly at the Numis Nova dinners, a loss to the numismatic community. Rest in peace, my friend.

My condolences to the Stefanelli family. May your prayers bring the peace of God that will comfort you during your grieving process. (Philippians 4:6,7)

May I add my condolences to the others and encourage you the family to continue to trust in God ( Prov. 3:5,6). FWJ Jr.

Of all of my teachers, Mr. Clain was one of the very few I remembered and so fondly (from Sheridan School). What a gentle and loving man. May his family find peace in the future.
