Not sure what to say?

How quickly time has passed. Now I am the older fellow, 81 very soon, who still has such fond and respectful memories knowing our President, Alex Hart, at Hart's San Jose. I was a college student working part time at Hart's and then I quickly joined the Executive Training program....my first job as a buyer was for the Stationey, Greeting Cards and Christmas Shop. I loved my job and I advanced as we prepared for the new Westgate store and even opened a small Twig in Mountain View. It was...

Time is flying by. I am now retired and living in Guatemala near Antigua. After a very busy life in retail, wholesale, product development I work in my Art Studio each day. Alex Hart was/is a major influence in my life, now and when I was a young executive trainee, then buyer, at Hart's. I wrote a tribute to beloved Alex who was a hero to me in many ways...a great boss and friend (hello to Brooke, A.J. and Theodore from Len Clark a once young buyer at Hart´s).

Sincerely,

Gerri Ferrari

He championed causes both popular and unpopular; he was a great support to the gay community when it was not politically correct, and shamlessly stood by those friends. I extend my heart felt sympathy to his lovely family, and want them to know that I feel the lost of a dear and close friend. I love you Alex, and thank you for all you stood for. You were unique and special in...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Alex did so much for the Santa Clara Valley over these many years and helped so many of us. Words can not express our gratitude for everything he did. Knowing him was an honor.
