So many memories & will miss Alec! Alec was a true 'gentleman' - - so personable, thoughtful, kind and polite. Professionally, he was a dedicated innovator that contributed to the birth & growth of a new, environmentally-friendly energy system in the U.S. My condolences to Carroll, Jennifer, and Alex.

Alec was committed to the Energy Commission and to being an advocate for clean energy -- especially solar. He'd be proud to know that the seeds be spread in the small grants program have sprouted and produced innovative products. His legacy continues! Sending sympathy to Alec's family.

I worked with Alec for many years. He had such a big hearty laugh that you could hear halfway across the building. It's hard to believe someone so vital is gone. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Alec was a wonderful mentor at the very beginning of my career, a great friend, and my confidant. And what a laugh! It brought joy to everyone who knew him. We will miss you Alec!

Alec had the best smile and I missed him when he retired from the Energy Commission. Sending healing thoughts to his family.

It was a wonderful privilege and pleasure to have worked many years with Alec. I will never forget his kindness to me, and his caring nature.
