Read MoreAlthough I didn't know Mr. Spangler well, as a long-time friend of his daughter, Sherry, I had the opportunity to see him on various family occasions. He was always kind, funny, and made everyone feel welcome.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family today.

I met Alex when I was 16 and working at the lumber company.He liked my work so much that he kept me with him instead of putting me in the hot rail cars to unload lumber.He did not make to many people happy with that move,but the I got to meet his boy Jerry (Spanky)They sure was a fun loving family
