OMG! I´ve known Alexis since she was in school in Madison, Wisconsin attending Edgewood, Catholic school, we we reconnected in DC when I was the coordinator and first Executive Director of the first DC Private Industry Council, Inc. with the Chairman, Kent Cushionberry, whom I met when I was a student at the University of WI- Madison. I am deeply saddened to hear of Alexis passing. As an intern in the Office of Public Liaison at the WHO, I had the privilege of witnessing her leadership and grace firsthand. She was stately, intelligent, and beautifully composed, yet always warm, approachable, and kind. Her poise and brilliance made a lasting impression on me, and I remain grateful for even our brief interactions, which were deeply meaningful.
