Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of getting to know Al when I waited on him at CVS. He was always so kind and I will miss his smile! JUDY WALLEN

Our deepest condolences to Rose and family - we were out of town right after hearing about Al's death. It seems like we knew Al for decades both at Cal Poly and in his active community service life. So soft spoken yet everyone listened because Al always had something relevant and important to say. He will be missed dearly - a Mr. Rogers for our neighborhood.

Dear Rose and family
I was saddened and shocked to learn of Al's passing. I loved his easy laugh and his serious commitment to competency and quality in running the Foundation. Even though he and I were not in touch much after I left Cal Poly, I took away an affection for him that will never change.

He always displayed the utmost of respect towards...

Al's enthusiasm and love for Cal Poly will be missed. He was such an inspiration to me when we served on the Alumni Board together. Condolences to Rose and Family.

My deepest condolences to the Amaral family on Al's passing. He was a great man, always happy. We loved him and will miss him dearly. Peace be with you all.

My thoughts go out to you Rose and family. Although I didn't know Mr. Amaral well, I do remember him as a caring father when Fred was in my class in elementary school. I am so sorry for your loss.

Rose and family: my fondest memories of working at Cal Poly are those involving Al. He was the nicest and most caring person and a wonderful man to know. My thoughts are with you.

To Rose and family go our condolences on the loss of this wondferful man. I was blessed to work work closely with Al for many years. His honesty, integrity and professionalism could always be expected. Cal Poly and our community were better because of Al.
