Alfred Bauer, Sr., 96, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at home. He was born June 30, 1920, in Posey County, IN.
He was a homebuilder, past president of Evansville Homebuilders Association, and a member of the Methodist Temple United Methodist Church.
Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Bauer, in 1996; and sister, Marge Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Lanelle Bauer of Evansville; daughter, Carol (Don) Minnie of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Dianna Stewart of Lakeland, FL; son, Alfred Bauer, Jr. of Evansville; daughter, Gariann (Glenn) Small of Bonita Springs, FL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andy Payton, with entombment at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Temple or a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderEastChapel.com.
